Why should I get Rolfing® services?
Rolfing® frees the body from life-long patterns as it releases stress, strains and tension that we hold in our physical structure. This restored freedom leads to increased physical vitality, noticeably higher levels of energy, improved health and physical appearance.
How am I sure I will get results?
Nothing is more frustrating to get a service and not reap the so told benefits. Results are guaranteed after the first visit or you’ll get your money back.
What to wear?
Your comfort is of the utmost importance, so wear what you feel comfortable in. Here are some suggestions of what to wear for sessions:
Women – underwear or running shorts and a bra (sports or regular – with thinner straps being preferable to thicker), or a two-piece bathing suit.
Men – underwear, running shorts, or a bathing suit.
If I do Yoga, do I still need Rolfing?
Rolfing and yoga are compatible but not redundant. Yoga and stretching are ways that you can preserve and increase the flexibility you gain from your Rolfing sessions.
Who get's Rolfed?
People of all ages and walks of life. Even young children may have structural problems that can be helped through Rolfing. Though many people think Rolfing is designed for athletes and dancers, and this technique is certainly useful for them, a large proportion of my clientele suffers mainly from too many hours at a computer.
Few of us do not have areas of tension, contracture, and stress, as well as imperfect posture, all of which can be helped by Rolfing®. Many of those who come to me also have sports injuries, post-surgical pain, or congenital structural problems.
What type of injuries Rolfing can help with?
The whole body can benefit from Rolfing, whether it’s the spine, hips, ankles, shoulders & neck for example.
How long have you been practicing?
Hyatt have been certified for over 30+ years now!
Is there consultation available?
Of course! It is free and you will get tailored personal therapy.
How long is a session?
Depending on the session and what is found, most sessions are around 60 to 75 minutes.
Does Rolfing help with scoliosis?
Rolfing can help with many of the symptoms and compensations surrounding scoliosis. Improved flexibility and range of movement, decrease in pain, and postural improvement are all common results. In many cases, lost height is regained, and further progression of curvature slowed. Do not expect that Rolfing will completely correct the scoliotic curves.
Is it a painful process?
The sensations experienced during Rolfing vary. If we are working in an area that is already painful, there will be tenderness when it is touched, and the depth of work can be adjusted according to your tolerance. The experience of having long-held tension released from the body is often pleasurable, and many people tell me that they have been looking for that sensation for a long time. Because of the slow, specific nature of the Rolfing touch, even when portions of the session are painful, the result is deep relaxation.
